  14. Planning for the calendar turnover is a hot topic now.
  15. Here is a rundown on the status of the various flavors of K-370.

  17. CMS - for releases before the current one (4.3.1), there are no known
  18.     problems.  Kermit correctly reports the date of a file in the
  19.     beginning of the next century (by assuming any year less than 50
  20.     is 20YY instead of 19YY).  With 4.3.1, the reporting still works
  21.     fine, but there is an added complication: the date/time stamp
  22.     for a newly uploaded file is set from the stamp sent by the
  23.     other Kermit.  This will probably not work correctly after 2000.
  24.     Version 4.3.2 (now in beta testing) offers a fix for systems
  25.     without SFS, but the complete solution must wait until the CMS
  26.     interface for setting arbitrary dates is updated by IBM.  (Real
  27.     Soon Now.)

  29. TSO - no known problems, except that after 2000, the date reported may
  30.     be the CREATION date instead of the MODIFICATION date.  This
  31.     is fixed in 4.3.2 (also in beta testing).
